Design

Just like all members of the Costanza family, the Costanza Sospensione from Luceplan easily blends with different interior design styles, from classic to extravagant. The pendant light instantly catches the eye with the interesting contrast between the lightweight, unobtrusive shade made of polycarbonate and the characteristic drop-shaped counterweight made of chrome-plated steel. In 1988, the elegant Luceplan Costanza Sospensione, adjustable was awarded the Concours de la Création Artistique SIL/Paris for its excellent design language and the brilliant light dynamics. This pendant lamp is available in many trendy colours, e.g. in see green, mystic pink or powder. It was created by the Italian designer Paolo Rizzatto.

The design of the Grande Costanza Sospensione with Touch Dimmer was penned by Paolo Rizzatto who created this luminaire in 2006 for the manufacturer Luceplan.

Costanza Sospensione pendant lights: combined zone and ambient lighting

The Luceplan Costanza Sospensione, adjustable emits its light upwards as well as downwards. This way, this pendant light suffuses the area below it with bright zone lighting, while softly glare-free ambient light is emitted upwards. The light cone can be adjusted in a target-oriented manner by modifying the height at which the Costanza Sospensione is suspended – an ideal property to, for instance, adjust the light directed onto a table. We recommend equipping the light either with halogen lamps or with LED retrofits. The former stand out for an excellent colour rendering, while the latter score points with their high energy efficiency.
