Design

The small Northern Unika pendant light was originally designed by Anders Lundqvist and Anne Louise Due de Fønss for the Copenhagen restaurant Grønbech and Churchill. The Unika creates a charming flair thanks to its hand-blown glass shade, its twisted cable and a fine brass socket. The latter provides the pendant light with an impressive industrial look that forms a fabulous contrast to the delicate shape of the handmade shade. Furthermore, the little imperfections with regard to the glass thickness and the small air pockets make each pendant light from the Norwegian light manufacturer Northern a charming unique piece. The Unika is available with transparent and grey glass.

Anders Lundqvist and Anne Louise Due de Fønss designed the Unika Pendant light by Northern.

Unika pendant lights: uniform light emitted in all directions

The Northern Unika uniformly emits its light in all directions. The light is more strongly focused downwards when you opt for the version equipped with grey glass. This pendant light supplies pleasant mood lighting that provides the room with a natural atmosphere. This pendant light from Northern is designed for use with incandescent or halogen lamps with a power of up to 60 watts. However, the Unika may also be equipped with economical LED retrofits. In this case, light11 recommends using LED filament lamps that emphasise the classic retro flair of this pendant light.
