Energy consumption



At the latest since the ban on incandescent light bulbsthe energy consumption of illuminants has become a matter of ongoing interest in the media as well as among the consumers. Taking a look at the annual electricity costs for lighting the home of a family of four can easily reach an amount of between €80 and €90, a good 10% of the average electricity bill. Switching to more energy efficient options therefore certainly pays off.
By using 12 V eco halogen lamps energy savings of 30% can be achieved without any compromise on light quality. When using 230 V eco halogen lamps the savings may even amount to 40-50%. Energy-saving lamps, allow you to achieve savings of up to 80%, however, you then have to accept a reduction in light quality. Modern lamps save energy whilst offering excellent quality lighting..

The following simple examples show how much money you could save just by replacing incandescent lamps with energy-saving lamps or eco halogen lamps, even if the initial outlay does seem expensive at first. The final table shows the savings you would make if you replaced 12 V halogen lamps with 12 V eco halogen lamps.
