Design

With the Suspence P1, the restless Danish-Italian designer duo GamFratesi presents a discreet pendant light that enchants the viewer with its flowing shapes. Translating movement into a physical shape served as inspiration for the flowing shape of the painted aluminium lampshade. This is reflected in the upper part of the lampshade of the Fritz Hansen Suspence P1, which tapers towards the top and flows seamlessly into the fabric-covered cable. The pendant lamp’s light opening is covered by a so-called "infinity diffuser" made of methacrylate. In this way, the pendant light by the Danish premium manufacturer Fritz Hansen turns into an attractive eye-catcher for modern interiors in a reduced Scandinavian style.

GamFratesi designed the Suspence P2 for the manufacturer Fritz Hansen in 2016.

A so-called "infinity diffuser" made of methyl acrylate gives the light a soft touch.

Suspence P1: zone light for the dining table

The Fritz Hansen Suspence P1 focuses its light directly downwards. The satin-finished diffuser scatters the light evenly for a harmonious illumination of surfaces below the pendant light. This turns the Suspence P1 into an ideal lighting solution for dining tables. As a light source, the pendant lamp requires a lamp with an E27 base. This could be a classic halogen lamp, but also a modern LED retrofit lamp. By the way, replacing the illuminant is very easy, as you simply need to detach the diffuser to replace the lamp.

Suspence P1 – pendant lamps for Nordic style dining table lighting

The Fritz Hansen Suspence P1’s softly diffused light is perfectly suited to illuminate a dining table. The pendant light appetisingly accentuates food and drinks on the table while creating a pleasant atmosphere.
