Dining table lamps - for an impressive lighting atmosphere during meals
The dining table is often the centrepiece of the entire home - or at least the dining room. Hardly any other piece of furniture stands for so much conviviality and togetherness. The demands on the right lighting are therefore all the higher: dining table lamps have the task of illuminating the table in a targeted and glare-free manner, providing a cosy light. At the same time, they should blend harmoniously into the room so that the colours, shapes and materials match the respective furnishing style. In addition, there are often other requirements, for example in terms of individual adjustment or operating options. The ability to dim the light is also an important criterion in the age of modern LED lighting.
In order to fulfil all the different requirements, we offer a wide range of high-quality dining table lights in numerous designs. You are sure to find the perfect lighting solution for your dining room.
Different types of luminaires are suitable for dining table lighting
To harmonise visually with your interior, there are dining table lamps for different living styles. You will find very modern designer lights that set stylish accents in your dining room, as well as industrial-look versions with a charming, slightly rough touch. Vintage lights exude nostalgia, while country-style models inspire with natural materials, among other things. Retro lights, on the other hand, bring the flair of past decades to your dining room.
Decentralised dining table lights solve your problem!
If your ceiling outlet is not positioned directly above the dining table, we recommend decentralised pendant lights with a large projection or long movable arms that can be flexibly aligned on the ceiling. Alternatively, you can consider arched or wall lights, which only require a power socket.
Configurable dining table lights are particularly individualised, allowing you to select the individual components according to your wishes. For example, you can put together your own personal light by determining the number of lamps, the colour filter and the colours and materials of the housing.
In homes with very high ceilings, pendant lights with long cables and a large light body are required. This means that the pendant lamps end at the optimum height above the dining table.
Dining table lamps with integrated LEDs or tried and tested sockets?
LED dining table lamps
Luminaires with integrated LEDs prove to be an economically sensible solution as they consume less energy than lamps with sockets. In addition, many LED luminaires allow professional dimming.
Dining table lamps with sockets give you full control over the lighting effect. This allows you to individually determine the light colour, quantity and other factors. You can also conveniently integrate the lights into your smart home system with the right light source. Another plus point: the lamp can be easily replaced in the event of a fault.
Dining table lights can be controlled in a variety of ways for greater flexibility and convenience. For example, many lights are dimmable, either in steps or continuously. There are various control elements for dimming the dining room light.
The classic option is the touch dimmer, which is dimmed up or down by pressing and holding the button. Lights with touch dimmers are more innovative. They work with sensor technology so that you can adjust the brightness with a simple, light touch. Models with gesture control go one step further. Here, dimming and switching on and off are carried out without contact using a hand gesture that is detected by the sensor.

Which lights are suitable for the dining table?
Pendant lights are the classic choice for dining table lighting. They illuminate the area below them in a targeted and mostly glare-free manner, setting the dining table centre stage with atmospheric light. Arched luminaires are also an option. These are best positioned so that the shade hovers as centrally as possible above the table. Wall lights are another option for dining room lighting - preferably with a long arm. This allows the lamp to extend far beyond the table surface and illuminate the table. Cordless and lightweight rechargeable lamps are particularly practical for the dining room. They can be positioned anywhere on the table and moved again at any time.
No matter which type of light you choose: For harmonious proportions, make sure that the table is at least 30 cm wider than the lamp to avoid bumping your head when standing up.
