Mirror lights – for more emphasis in the bathroom
A mirror light can be mounted by the mirror or directly on the mirror, depending on personal preferences. For this purpose, wall lights or special attachable mirror lights are used. As to decorating the interior, these lights take a special position, because they are applied in a very sensible are, that is: in the bath or the guest bathroom. Here they ideally underline the atmosphere of the room, blending perfectly with adequate ceiling lights and giving it additional functionality and appeal. So, the lighting of a mirror light has to emit warmth and brightness at the same time, but should not dazzle you or cast a shadow on your face. After all, we want to get a realistic impression of our appearance. Besides, a mirror light should provide additional visual value as a wall or ceiling light and take care for a relaxed flair by spreading a feeling of wellness. Lastly, a mirror light should not be sensitive towards water or humidity in the room – since you surely want to avoid a disagreeable, direct contact with your power supply. Therefore mirror lights are equipped with IP44 protection rating (protected against splash water) at the least and their (usually satined) glass ensures dazzle-free light. Under usual circumstances, a sole mirror light will indeed not be enough to illuminate the whole room. But as a zone light illuminating right the desired place, a mirror light is just indispensable for a perfect start into the day: when brushing one’s teeth, shaving or applying makeup.
