Design

The Serien Lighting Twin pendant light LED implements the design concept of two lamp heads kept in position by means of a scissor mechanism in a contemporary and energy-efficient way. What is more, the pendant lamp can be ordered with lampshades made of either acrylic glass or hand-blown glass. Furthermore, the metal structure is available in black and chrome. As the Twin LED by the German light manufacturer Serien Lighting impresses both in terms of design and light technology, it comes to no surprise that it was given the German Design Award of 2015 as well as the Design Plus Award.

Twin LED pendant lights: adjustable zone light for tables

The Serien Lighting Twin pendant light LED emits its light directly downwards, for instance onto a table surface. Thanks to the satin-finished lampshades, people sitting at the table are protected from unpleasant glare. However, the most outstanding advantage of this pendant lamp is the adjustable height and position of the two lamp heads thanks to a scissor mechanism. In this way, the Twin LED is suitable for long and short dining tables. Furthermore, the pendant light by Serien Lighting scores points in terms of luminous efficacy. For a luminous flux of 1,530 lumens, the LED modules consume only 15 watts. Thus, the Twin LED produces more light than a classic 100 W incandescent lamp.

Pendant lamps as flexible lighting solutions for dining tables

The Serien Lighting Twin pendant light LED was designed particularly for the use above dining tables. Especially in combination with extending tables, the pendant light comes into its own, as it adjusts flexibly to the different lengths. To this end, the two lamp heads can be moved apart to a maximum span of 1.55 m. In this way, the Twin LED ably provides even very large tables with pleasant zone light that accentuates the meals and drinks in an appetising way. With these characteristics, the pendant lamp by Serien Lighting is cuts a fine figure above a bar or a counter in the kitchen, where it provides for optimal visibility when cooking or baking.
