Design

A cylindrical lampshade made of ceramic foam is responsible for the unique character of the Serien Lighting Reef Ceiling light. When looking at this ceiling light, the irregular structure of the reflector makes us think of the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Australia. Here, the innovative material of the Reef ceiling light which has the characteristic colour of bone china encloses a lamp with a G9 base. The ceiling rose of this ceiling light from Serien Lighting is available in brushed and polished aluminium.

The slightly porous surface of the shade has particular lighting properties and extraordinary design qualities: when the light is switched on the Reef ceiling light shimmers in a soft, atmospheric light that is emitted into the room in a subdued manner. The light is directly emitted downwards through the lower opening of the shade without producing any glare. Moreover, this ceiling light from the German light manufacturer Serien Lighting creates a decorative corona of light on the ceiling. Due to the low installation height of 95 mm the Serien Lighting Reef ceiling light is particularly well suited for rooms with low ceilings. If the shade becomes dirty or dusty it can be easily removed and cleaned in a dishwasher.
