Design

By means of its flat lamp head and far-reaching arms made of extruded aluminium, the Rotaliana String XL LED is a paragon for functional design. The floor lamp was conceived by the Italian designers Dante Donegani and Giovanni Lauda who are known for their clear and reduced designs. However, the key feature of the String XL LED is the elastic, eponymous string, which is stretched behind both lamp arms. It gives the floor lamp by Rotaliana its high flexibility and stability.

String XL LED floor lamps: needs-oriented zone lighting

The lamp head of the String XL LED floor lamp houses a powerful LED module, which emits a bright zone light downwards. Thanks to the far-reaching lamp arms, the floor lamp by Rotaliana provides a needs-oriented lighting. The brightness may be adjusted by means of a dimmer which is integrated in the frame. Furthermore, the floor lamp impresses by its energy efficiency. In order to generate a luminous flux of 3,100 lumens, the Rotaliana String XL LED only needs 43 watts. It reaches the brightness of a 200 watts incandescent lamp while consuming less than a quarter of the energy.
