Philips myGarden – exterior lights as an enrichment to the environment

The myGarden series by Philips represents exterior lights that are an enrichment for outdoor areas in many ways. On the one hand, the surrounding area is provided with a decorative element that upgrades the entire area. On the other hand, the Philips myGarden lights supply focused zone lighting that highlights particular areas and therefore ensure security and an improved atmosphere. Moreover, these garden lights by Philips myGarden are mostly equipped with energy-saving, durable lamps and they are sometimes even provided with integrated solar cells which is good for the household budget and also reduces the impact on the environment. As these lights are designed in accordance with protection type IP44, they are protected against the ingress of solid foreign bodies with a diameter of 1.0 mm or larger as well as against water splashing on all sides and also turn out to be resistant against any adverse climatic conditions.

A prime example is the Philips myGarden Moonbow 16451 LED bollard light. This "moonbow" made of aluminium and brushed stainless steel quickly catches the eye as it reminds us of a miniature monolith. With its warm-white light, this bollard luminaire illuminates, for instance, a path in your garden and thereby ensures a reliable orientation. A driveway or an access road are other possible areas of use. With its accent lighting this exterior light by Philips myGarden impressively highlights the flora in your garden, for instance, the flower beds or bushes. While doing so, it achieves an outstanding luminous efficacy: it only requires 3 watts to produce more light than a 25 W incandescent lamp. If you prefer a rather traditional design as well as a higher light intensity, you should consider purchasing the Philips myGarden Cottage 15484 LED bollard light. The classic look of this path light reminds us of a lantern and therefore arouses nostalgic feelings. Its LEDs only require 4.5 W to achieve an output of 430 lumens which means that is outperforms a 40 W incandescent lamp.

Philips myGarden: automatic switching, if desired

Philips myGarden exterior lights are also available as wall lights. A light that can be used to supply house entrances, balconies or terraces with pleasant zone lighting so that social get-togethers do not need to be terminated just because it turns dark is the Philips myGarden Greenhouse 17810 LED wall light. It turns out to be an incredibly energy-saving light as it only requires one watt to supply a focused light with an output of 100 lumens. Besides, this exterior light does not require any electricity for this purpose as it turns sunlight into LED light. For this purpose, the Philips Greenhouse light is provided with a solar cell – this means that no time-consuming electrical installation is required and you do not have to consider a power plug or a disturbing cable when fitting this light.

Even more: thanks to a day/night function, this Philips myGarden light automatically switches on as soon as it turns dark outside. Those who prefer a more futuristic look should be very satisfied with the Virga by Philips myGarden. This wall light that slightly looks like a spotlight from a modern science fiction movie catches the eye with its slanting design. It also welcomes the inhabitants as well as their guests with pleasant LED light and only consumes 3 watts. A typical characteristic feature of Philips myGarden: the Virga also impresses by an outstandingly low price so that you feel like you need to buy several pieces of those.

Recessed lights are ideally suited for a canopy roof or a porch. With an installation depth of only 11 cm the Philips myGarden Fresco 17289 recessed LED ceiling light, for instance, almost closes flush with the architecture and supplies warm-white light. The recessed spotlight additionally impresses by its flexibility: the adjustable head of the Philips myGarden Fresco allows the light to be directed to where it is required. Since it is designed according to protection type IP23, this light is protected against spraying water.
