Oluce – design classics with retro charm
Founded in 1945 by Giuseppe Ostuni, Oluce is considered the oldest Italian company for designer lighting. The manufacturer has always had the ambition to design products that will become sought-after furnishing objects for generations. Oluce succeeds in this with timeless designs based on first-class quality and decades of experience. Also responsible for the success is the collaboration with countless renowned designers, including Joe Colombo, Marco Zanuso and Vico Magistretti, who worked for years as art director and chief designer at Oluce.
Atollo – the archetype of the table lamp
With Atollo, Vico Magistretti revolutionized the design of the classic table lamp in 1977. The lamp is composed of three geometric shapes: a cylinder that forms the high base of the lamp, a hemisphere that represents the shade and a cone that connects both elements. With this design, the iconic metal lamp resembles a mushroom and became the epitome of the table lamp. The soft light creates a cozy illumination – on the sideboard in the living room, the side table next to the armchair or the nightstand by the bed.
The highlight of the Atollo: both in the shade and in the foot is at least one light source. These can be switched and dimmed separately, so you can create different lighting moods.
Coupé – functional lighting icon from the 60s
Coupé goes back to a design by Joe Colombo from 1967. The metal lamp is characterized by its reduced and extremely functional design: A dome- or cylinder-shaped shade is attached to the narrow luminaire rod, through which soft zone light emerges downward. Thanks to an ingenious mechanism, the lampshade of most luminaires can be pushed up and down and swiveled to the side. This allows you to direct the light to your liking.
While the arc and wall lights of the family are ideal as a decentralized lighting solution for dining tables, the floor and table lamps give you glare-free reading light. Coupé is part of the collection of MoMA in New York and the "Neue Sammlung" in Munich.
