Design

The Nimbus Modul Q 36 Aqua wide beam, for direct mounting features an outstandingly flat design. Being only 10 mm thick, the ceiling elegantly melts with the ceiling. The slim lamp body is complemented by a functional geometrical design in the shape of a square with rounded edges. The Modul Q 36 Aqua wide beam, for direct mounting is manufactured from high-quality materials only: frosted acrylic glass is used for the diffuser which houses a total of 36 LEDs. The ceiling bracket is made from high-grade aluminium. The design was penned by the German designer and managing director of Nimbus, Dietrich F. Brennenstuhl.

The Modul Q 36 Aqua was designed by Dietrich F. Brennenstuhl in cooperation with Nimbus in-house design in 2006.

Modul Q 36 Aqua wide beam, for direct mounting – diffuse downward light

As the name already suggests, this variant of the Modul Q 36 Aqua emits a wide downward beam of light produced by energy-efficient LEDs. In doing so, the ceiling light provides harmonious mood light. Approximately 95 % of the light emitted spreads downwards, the remaining 5 % scatters to the sides and the ceiling. The Modul Q 36 Aqua wide beam version for direct mounting is supplied with a metal ring that is mounted directly to the ceiling. The luminaire is then attached by means of permanent magnets at the back of the lamp body. Please note that an external Nimbus converter is required for operating the Modul Q 36 Aqua. This can be found below on this page under the tab "Accessories". The Nimbus module Q 36 Aqua wide beam for direct mounting is protected against splashing water according to the IP44 degree of protection.

Modul Q 36 Aqua ceiling lights for indoors and outdoors

Thanks to its spray water resistance, the Nimbus Modul Q 36 Aqua is suitable for the use in wet rooms and in outdoor areas. It is often mounted under a canopy above a house entrance. With its extensive lighting, the ceiling light provides for better orientation and safety. Roofed balconies or terraces are also suitable areas of application for the Modul Q 36 Aqua wide beam by Nimbus. However, the ceiling light is also much appreciated inside the house, such as in a bathroom, where it supplies pleasant mood light.
