Elegance and flexibility in one piece: Lumina Daphine
As soon as 1977, the founder of Lumina
himself, Tomasso Cimini, created the now legendary Lumina Terra Classic and thus brought into being a floor lamp that has been maintaining its leading market position until today. Ever, since, many more Lumina Daphine
light added value to our living spaces.
The famous Daphine Terra floor lamp
is considered to be as the epitome of modern, functional design. Thanks to two jointed arms and a rotatable reflector, this astonishingly lean lighting proves a very flexible and multi-purpose zone lighting that can be adjusted individually. An included eco halogen lamp provides high light yield with low power consumption. This design classic with its characteristic transformer integrated in the base, comes in many different colours, so that it integrates well in many living environments.
The Lumina Daphine Terra with dimmer is as unbound as the original version. It accompanies you there where you wish zoned illumination. Whether by your side in the bedroom or besides an armchair or a sofa in the living room. With its warm, white light, that can be adjusted as desired thanks to its 360° turnable head, the Dephine Terra
not just serves as high quality reading light, but also significantly contributes to the feel good atmosphere. A dimmer enables you to regulate the intensity of illumination individually. On request, the Daphine Terra floor lamp is also available with a switch.
The “golden oldie” is remarkable as the desk light version Lumina Daphine Tavolo Classic as well, effectively lighting the workspace and granting your home office a charming touch. A sideboard in the bedroom or a cabinet in the living room are further favourable areas where the striking illumination capacity of this lamp shows off to its best advantage. This is beautifully exemplified by the Lumina Daphine Tavolo with dimmer (or switch) too. If you put great emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainability, you should probably decide in favour of Lumina Daphine LED
. The light emitting diode is considered the illuminant of the future, the ultimate light source that protects environment and bottom line at the same time and is convincing regarding freedom from maintenance and colour stability.
The Lumina Daphine Parete 05
is just as flexible and versatile as the other members of this lights family. The 35 cm arm and the head of the Daphine wall light are rotatable by 360 degrees. So you can perfectly illuminate a mirror in the bathroom, a picture in the living room or a desk in the home office. As general lighting, the Daphine Parete wall lamp, which is often used as a ceiling light as well, is also ideally suited for a corridor. Its shorter “sister”, the Lumina Daphine Parete 06
, features an arm length of 20 cm.
Additional information on the designer: In 1975, Tommaso Cimini (1947-1997) founded the Lumina Italia company. Prior to that, he had created a perfectly shaped, minimalistic table lamp
from a rather dry transformer and attracted great attraction with it at a fair in Milan: the Daphine. Cimini died in an aircraft accident in 1997, leaving the company in the capable hands of his business partner and then his son, Ettore. Ever since, Lumina develops and produces under the principle: a little lamp, no frills, a lot of light.” So Lumina realises luminaires, which breathe the spirit of its founder and manufactures elegant lighting objects reduced to the essential – without compromising on the alluring charm of Italian design.
