Luceplan Otto Watt

Glare-free LED lighting and convenient light control

The Otto Watt light family by Luceplan consists of many LED lights for just as many applications. Thus, the Otto Watt Tavolo table light is ideally suited for illuminating a desk, while a Luceplan Otto Watt Terra cuts a great figure next to an armchair or a sofa. All lights of this series combine contemporary energy efficiency, user-friendly flexibility, a dimmer for controlling the brightness and a characteristic appearance that is dominated by the flat, smooth-edged light head with anti-glare filter.

This one virtually offers the final setting possibilities of the LED light which was previously already given a direction thanks to the adjustable arms. The features of these lights by Luceplan are ideally embodied, for instance, by the Otto Watt Tavolo. This table lamp turns out to be the perfect lighting solution for your desk. Adjustable arms and the head rotatable by 360° direct the light exactly to where it is needed. Here, the integrated anti-glare filter makes sure that you are not blinded. Even more: thanks to the rotation of the diffuser, the light colour can be adapted to the individual requirements – between warm-white, homey 2,400 Kelvin and neutral-white, activating 3,500 Kelvin. However, this Luceplan Otto Watt has even more to offer: to achieve a light output of 330 lumens – this is about 100 lumens more than a 25 W incandescent lamp may produce – this table lamp only needs eight (in Italian: "otto") watts. The overall picture of this agile light source is rounded off by a colour rendering index of Ra = 90 which is still exceptional for LED lights.

The attractive features of the Luceplan Otto Watt table lamp are visible throughout the entire series. In the living room, the Otto Watt Terra floor lamp assists you with focused light and makes sure that you have a relaxing time while reading your book in the evening. A wall light is also a part of this light family: just like all its siblings, the Otto Watt Parete offers a flexible energy-saving reading light with an adjustable light colour. It is often installed in the bedroom above the bed where it provides for illumination while you are reading a book. If the Luceplan Otto Watt wall light is installed above a sideboard or a commode this light turns the pieces of furniture into real "exhibition pieces".

If you want your wall light to have the same outreach that is offered by the table lamp, it is recommended to take a look at the Otto Watt with wall bracket. If there is only little space on your desk a Luceplan Mini Otto Watt should be considered. If even less space is available the Otto Watt clamp light is a practical solution that also can be used for a shelf or a cupboard.

The Luceplan Otto Watt was designed by Alberto Meda and Paolo Rizzatto. The first one, born in 1945, is known for creations that attract attention with their functionality instead of mere decorative effects – this is why the industrial designer calls himself as a creator of "simple things". Paolo Rizzatto on the other hand, born in 1941, is always seeking for innovative forms and design characteristics. This combination resulted in stylishly elegant and extremely user-friendly lights called Luceplan Otto Watt.
