Graypants - innovative ideas with a sense of responsibility
The company, based in Seattle and Amsterdam, creates designs for leading manufacturers worldwide. Founders Seth Grizzle and Jonathan Junker shared a room while studying architecture and set up their own design studio in Seattle in 2008. This was followed in 2012 by the studio in Amsterdam, which distributes the lights from Europe to more than 40 countries and supports social work programmes.
Graypants places a strong focus on the stories behind the designs. The designs are a tribute to the people and processes behind the products. Two core elements shape the principle behind the work: taking responsibility and having fun.
Inspired by nature, the designer duo focuses on organic shapes, natural colours and sustainable materials. Their forward-looking vision is also reflected in their fair production conditions. Graypants cultivates a socially and ecologically responsible approach and raises awareness of environmentally friendly living.
With a fusion of organic shapes, unconventional materials and special lighting effects, Graypants creates unique lights that bring your living space to life and feel good.
Scraplights from Graypants
The handmade lights made from recycled cardboard are the hallmark of Graypants' originality. With the combination of zone light, indirect ambient light and light effects that escape through the layers of cardboard, the Scraplights create a unique lighting effect. Due to the different corrugations of the cardboard, each luminaire is unique.
Inspired by the beauty of nature, the organic lights in natural-coloured materials create a warm, intimate atmosphere in the room. Use the pendant lights to create zoned lighting on the dining or coffee table or enjoy zone lighting next to the sofa or bed with the table and floor lamps.

The Wick rechargeable lamp from Graypants is a real eye-catcher with its unusual lamp base, which is reminiscent of Aladdin's magic lamp. Thanks to its handle, it can be easily carried from one place to another. So you can enjoy atmospheric light wherever you want it.
Whether in the dining room for a candlelit dinner, in the living room on the coffee table or in the bedroom on the bedside table: the cordless light spoils you with dimmable mood lighting. You can create a particularly romantic atmosphere by activating the candlelight module.
At full light intensity, the Wick rechargeable lamp provides you with up to 7 hours of cordless light. At the lowest light intensity, you can enjoy up to 70 hours of cosy light. You can then charge the Graypants light conveniently via the USB-C connection.
