How high should a façade luminaire hang?
If you use wall luminaires as façade lamps, hangs the ideal height depends on various factors. This includes the height of the building and its architecture as well as the direction of light from the luminaires.
In practice, a guideline value of Height of approx. 175 cm established. When choosing the installation location, make sure that the light from the luminaires does not enter the house through the window.
Tip: When designing your façade lighting, always take the architecture of the building into account and also consider the effect of the switched-off luminaires. If the lighting is coordinated with doors, windows and other building elements, the result is a harmonious appearance.
How do I install a façade light on an insulated house wall?
If your house wall is insulated, be sure to take this into account when installing outdoor wall lights. It is important that the façade has sufficient load-bearing capacity to withstand the weight of the outdoor lights.
Among other things, there are Special insulation dowels on the market that are suitable for different purposes. For example, if the external insulation is polystyrene or mineral wool, which is usually the case, conventional expansion plugs will not usually hold. Instead, spiral-shaped insulation plugs are recommended.

Can I illuminate my façade with solar lamps?
If you want to set the scene for your house façade with light, solar lamps are less suitable. Because the The luminous flux of the luminaires is usually not high enough at a maximum of 500 lumens to achieve sufficiently bright lighting.
However, if you only want to provide orientation in the dark instead of staging your façade and you attach particular importance to sustainable lighting, solar lights are a good choice.
