Retro lamps without lampshade
In luminaires without a shade, the retro light sources are exposed and are thus often the focus of the luminaire design. They thus affect both the light pattern and the appearance of the luminaires. To ensure good glare control, you should select matte or opal light sources for retro-style luminaires. Gold-coated vintage light bulbs are also very suitable.

Retro, vintage or industrial lights: What's the difference?
The terms retro and vintage are often used as synonyms or even confused with each other. However, retro lamps do not mean the same thing as vintage lamps. Our lamps for the retro style of living are all from the 50s and 60s – contrary to what is often assumed, not from the 70s or 80s.
Our vintage lamps, on the other hand, are characterized by one key feature in particular: the so-called used look. This means that lamps for the vintage interior style show certain signs of use, such as a patina. However, this does not mean that they are old products. On the contrary, vintage style lamps are usually new and deliberately designed with a worn look.
Also, between the retro style and industrial style, there is often confusion or overlap. At this point it should be said: designer lamps for the industrial living style are characterized less by the decade from which they originate, but rather by their typical factory look: they are made of robust, rough materials such as different metals, often combined with concrete or wood as well as smoked glass elements.
