Design

The Tolomeo Midi Terra from Artemide is the successor of probably the best-known table lamp in the world: Tolomeo Tavolo. Just like its predecessor, this floor lamp offers an elegant design that impresses by a discreet surface finish and a straightforward design language. Moreover, the Artemide Tolomeo Midi Terra LED wins over the viewer particularly with its elegant construction with the streamlined shaft/arm as well as the relatively small head. The latter stands out for its matt surface finish that forms a charming contrast to the glossy polished finish used for the rest of the body. The floor lamp is made of high-quality aluminium.

Designer

The Tolomeo Midi Terra LED was designed by Giancarlo Fassina and Michele De Lucchi in 2012 for Artemide.

Tolomeo Midi Parete LED – flexible, accurately positioned zone lighting

One part of the large secret to success of the Artemide Tolomeo Midi Terra LED is the extraordinary flexibility. The arms as well as the light head of this light may be individually aligned so that the focused light is always directed to where it is required. The legendary rope pull system makes sure that the Tolomeo Midi Terra LED securely remains in the selected position. The floor lamp from Artemide is equipped with energy-efficient LEDs that only consume nine watts to exceed the luminous flux of a 25 W incandescent lamp. The integrated dimmer allows the brightness to be adapted.
