Data collection and use
a) Order: we collect and process your saved details in order to provide our services and to process the order for your purchase and any subsequent warranty claims. Within the framework of processing your order, we furnish the service providers we use (e.g. hauliers, service providers for handling payments) with the necessary details. For product and service orders, we require your correct address details. We will only use your telephone number in the event of queries. We require your e-mail address to confirm receipt of your order and to correspond with you. We will also use it to send you all contract-related information for you to archive and print.
b) Login: while we do save your order information, for security reasons it cannot be instantly accessed. We do, however, provide a direct, password-protected access area for all customers that complete the corresponding registration process. This area enables you to view information on your current and recently dispatched orders, change your light11 account details, address details and password, and subscribe to or unsubscribe from the newsletter. The customer is obliged to keep the personal access information confidential and not to allow access to unauthorised third parties. We do not assume any liability for any misused passwords providing we are not responsible for the misuse. You can withdraw your consent for the use of your details for promotional purposes at any time by sending a simple notification to:
light11.de GmbH Niederlassung Lünen Alstedder Str. 40 D-44534 Lünen
We will immediately add you to our locked file.
c) E-mail: we require your current e-mail address to keep you informed of your order and of any offers in relation to your needs, to e-mail you any order receipt confirmations and for your login. When ordering our newsletter, please provide us with the additional personal information (e.g. your name) so that we can address you personally. You can, of course, also contact us or request our newsletter anonymously (e.g. using a freemail address).
d) Other information: if you visit our website, even if via a link in a newsletter, for system security reasons, the domain name or IP address of the inquiring computer will be temporarily stored. This information is deleted after no longer than 4 weeks. This also applies to the data entries, the access date, the http response code, the website from which the computer accesses our sites and, finally, the data quantity transferred (bytes).
The evaluations of the usage procedures occur anonymously (e.g. announcement xy has been accessed by 45% of the newsletter readers). This enables us to tailor the information we provide to the interests of the readers.
We also save cookies on your computer (for further information, see point 4).

We save the details for long-term archiving and repeated use for the purposes outlined above.
b) In the event of competitions, we use the details to notify you if you have won.
c) Important: if you receive a newsletter, you are obviously entitled to withdraw your consent at any time for us to use your details for promotional purposes, as well as to unsubscribe from further newsletters. An ‘unsubscribe’ link is available in all newsletters.

Data storage using cookies
We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files which are saved on your data carrier and which save specific settings and details about your browser to share with our system. Saving these settings and details helps us tailor the website to your needs and make it easier for you to use, for example, by saving certain entries you make rather than you having to make them repeatedly. Most cookies we use are automatically deleted from your hard drive at the end of your browser session (hence the name ‘session cookies’). There are, however, also some cookies which remain on your hard drive. For your convenience, these cookies expire after a year. When you return to our website, these cookies enable us to automatically recognise that you have visited us before and identify your preferred entries and settings. These cookies are known as ‘long-term cookies’.
Your browser provides you with settings for restricting the use of cookies. These can cause our services to no longer work or only work to a limited extent. The settings area can also be used to delete cookies.
This website also uses Google Analytics, a Google Inc. service (‘Google’). Google Analytics also uses cookies (text files), which are saved on your computer and analyse your usage of our internet services. The information created by the cookie about your usage of our website, including your IP address, is transferred to a Google server in the USA, where it is saved. Google uses this information to evaluate your usage of our website and create a website activity report for us, as well as to provide us with further services related to website and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if legally required or if Google has contracted them to process the information. Under no circumstances will Google relate your IP address to other Google information. You can prevent cookies from being installed by activating the corresponding browser software settings; please note, however, that if you do this, you may not have full and comprehensive use of our website’s functions. By using our website, you agree to Google processing the details collected about you in the manner and for the purposes described above.
In order to optimise and improve our website, anonymised data is collected and stored using solutions and technology provided by econda GmbH (http://www.econda.de), which also creates user profiles based on this data using pseudonyms. For this purpose cookies may be used to facilitate recognition of an internet browser. However user profiles are not merged with the personal data of the bearer of the pseudonym without the express consent of visitors to the website. IP addresses in particular are rendered unrecognisable immediately upon entry to the site, making it impossible to match user profiles to IP addresses. Visitors to this website may prohibit any future collection and storage of such data at any time by clicking here: http://www.econda.de/econda/datenschutz/widerruf-datenspeicherung.html

Facebook Plugins
Our website uses social plugins provided by the social networking site Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. If you are logged into your Facebook account when you visit one of our website pages that contains one of these plugins, your browser will connect directly to the Facebook server. The content of the plugin is transferred directly to your browser, which then integrates this content into the open website page. The integration of this plugin notifies Facebook that you have visited our website. If you are logged into Facebook at this point, Facebook can link your visit to our website to your Facebook account. When you activate plugins (e.g. by clicking on the "Like" button), the relevant information is sent to Facebook, where it is then saved. We have no influence on the extent of the data that Google collects when you click on this button.
If you do not wish this data transfer to take place, you must log out of your Facebook account before visiting our website. For further information about data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as your rights and the settings you can use to protect your privacy, please see Facebook's data use policy (http://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/).
