At first sight, the Nimbus Roxxane Home reading light looks like a futuristic robot. Slim, polished arms made of fine aluminium provide the floor lamp with an extraordinarily elegant look. This way, the Roxxane Home quickly becomes an attractive eye-catcher that adds a modern flair to the living area. The filigree light source also impresses in terms of the workmanship: the light head as well as the arms are made of high-quality aluminium, while the base is made of lacquered steel and the joints are made of die-cast zinc. All these features makes the floor lamp from Nimbus an outstanding product; however, it particularly impresses by its sophisticated functionality.

The design of the Roxxane Home Reading Light was penned by Rupert Kopp and Nimbus in-house design who created the Reading lights in 2012 for the manufacturer Nimbus.

The Nimbus Roxxane Home reading light supplies warm-white zone lighting that can be adjusted as desired. Calibrated friction hinges and a 3D joint head additionally provide for a high operating comfort. This is additionally supported by the intelligent gesture control system. By means of a simple wiping movement, the floor lamp may be switched on and off or may be dimmed. Countersunk points above each LED also ensure a pleasant glare control and the focusing of light downwards. Moreover, the Roxxane Home reading light stands out for low power requirements. The floor lamp from Nimbus only requires 7.5 watts to produce a luminous flux of 413 lumens – this corresponds to the output of a 40 W halogen lamp. Innovative LED technology additionally ensures a long service life of the light-emitting diodes integrated: convention cooling, known from the cooling of buildings, prevents the LED lamps from excessive heating.
